Geocache Description:

Visit the Quaker Union Cemetery.  Quaker Union is the orginal settlement of Peru, N.Y.  The Quakers thought the mountains surrounding this area looked like the mountains of Peru, South America and that is why they named it this.  The gravestones are very old so be very careful.  The gate to enter the cemetery is the original gate.  Very cool place!

To find this cache you will need to go to the back of the graveyard and look for George Everett.  George was a drummer for New Hampshire Regiment.  On the grave you will find the year he served under his father.  It is a very important date in history but also to find the cache.  The coordinates of the cache are 44 32.X7X , -73 31.836.  Replace the X's with the last digit of the year on the grave.  I have placed a tracking bug inside to travel also.  Good Luck
