OAHT 1613: Lacy’s Resort
Lacy’s Resort

Lacy’s Resort started as a tavern. It is the first and oldest tavern on Okauchee Lake. The tavern was built on the Oconomowoc River before the dam was constructed to raise the level of the Okauchee Lake in 1848. Fraternal orders and ethnic groups entertained in the building used by Tug Lacy who later built a resort next to the property. Lacy’s Resort on Okauchee Lake went on the market in 1961 and bought by the Weissgerber Family. The old dance hall had to be demolished and the current restaurant was built over the tavern. The dining room opened in 1967.
