On your way to the tip of Australia you must pass through Lakeland to get there.
For many people this is the start of one of the must do 4wd journeys in Australia.Even though the road is good with many sealed sections with more traffic traveling to the tip the road does deteriorate as the season progresses. The cache is at what I call the true start line for the trip, left to the tip(Pajinka) or right to Cooktown first then onwards. If you are vertically challenged you may need some assistance as the cache is about 6ft of the ground. Please enjoy your trip and remember to drive to the conditions and try for the half dozen or so caches in Cooktown. 😄
