This cache is just off a walking path in the Watervale Estate Wetland. Melbourne Water builds and manages wetlands to improve stormwater quality through removing pollutants, such as nutrients and sediments, before they reach our rivers, creeks and bays. Wetlands may also be home to native fish, birds, snakes and a range of aquatic plants that help to treat and remove pollutants from stormwater. Please keep your geodogs on a lead near wetlands. There is normally always water in this wetland, during the very hot summer months it is advisable to take water with you on this visit, as it gets very hot. Please DO NOT attempt to break the cache off its location, it is very easy to get the log without force, with a little initiative!! You can drive to this cache and park on the road, please watch your geokids if crossing any roads. Rocks near the wetland are slippery. Please use caution. There is no room for swops.
