氷見駅の北１０Ｋｍほどの大境の港に鎮座。
富山湾を右手に見て、１６０号線を北上し、大境で東へ入ると、
小さな漁港の奥に鳥居が立っている。
境内入口は南西向き。
鳥居の右脇に「白山社」と刻まれた社号標。
十数段の階段を上ると神明造の拝殿があるが、
当社の特徴は、拝殿背後の洞窟。
洞窟の標高は四メートルで、約七千年前、
縄文海進期に波の浸食によって形成されたもの。
洞窟の入口は南西向き、高さ約八メートル、幅約十六メートル、
奥行き約三十四メートルあり、洞窟内に本殿がある。
