This night cache is a team effort between klblue & pugbaby. We found the original night cache kept having problems so we decided to remove the old markers that were left on the original night cache and do a new one.
You can park at N 49 43.195 & W 97 10.440. I confirmed with a City of Winnipeg worker that the gates near the front parking lot are not locked anymore. You will be able to park at these coordinates as there is lots of parking available. After you park proceed to the starting point which is at N 49 43.176 & W 97 10.684. Use a good flashlight to follow the tacks which should be easily visible. This is the start of the tacks which you will follow down trails in La Barriere Park to the final cache location. There are one, two, or three tacks marking the path to follow until near ground zero. The final is marked with 5 reflective tacks or markers. It may be muddy if it has been raining so where appropriate footwear. The terrain is fairly even but there are a few low spots or even branches that may have fallen across the trail so be careful. The final is a short distance from the trail and will require only a tiny bit of bushwacking ( not bad ). The cache is a small regular with camo tape on it.
