Geocache Description:

This series has been put together for you to follow the trail of the Bootleggers “Rum Runners” in the Crowsnest Pass. There are 13 Caches.

RNWMP Barracks (St. Luke’s) (13307-20th Ave):  In 1915, the local Anglican congregation, first leased and then purchased this building which became  St. Luke’s  Anglican Church. The core of the building is the Royal North West Mounted Police post built in 1903. This building was formerly their barracks. The Royal North-West Mounted Police were known to be apathetic when it came to enforcing booze laws. Amid the turmoil of deciding how to implement the new Liquor Act, a new law enforcement institution was formed. The Alberta Provincial Police, or APP, was created and accepted its duties in March 1917.

This series has been put together for you to follow the trail of the Bootleggers “Rum Runners” in the Crowsnest Pass. There are 13 Caches. All called CNP Prohibition 16-(?). 16 is for the year 2016 and the number behind that is the number of the cache/waypoint.
