CATALÀ

L'Escala, un bonic poble de mar situat a la Costa Brava empordanesa i a l'extrem sud del Golf de Roses.

Aviat farà vint anys que gaudeixo de les seves platges i cales, dels seus carrers i la seva gent, de les magnífiques albades i capvespres acompanyats del so excitant de les gavines.

Vint anys que es redueixen a quatre si tenim en compte el temps que porto al món del Geocaching. Des que vaig trobar el meu primer catxé en aquesta mateixa comarca els estius a L'Escala han canviat una mica, sense deixar en cap moment els plaers de tota la vida, és clar. He pogut veure el poble amb uns altres ulls, conèixer racons inexplorats i fer recorreguts que mai hauria imaginat que faria.

Una de les coses que encara no he fet aquí i enguany en tinc moltes ganes és organitzar un parell d'aplecs per aquest agost. El primer per fer una senzilla trobada a la platja i el segon, amb un valor afegit, contemplar les famoses llàgrimes de Sant Llorenç des d'un mirador privilegiat.

En aquest cas ens trobarem al capdamunt de la muntanya de Montgó, a tocar de la torre, el proper divendres 12 d'agost des de les 22.00 fins les 24.00. Parlarem de Geocaching i intercanviarem traçables tot gaudint d'un dels millors espectacles que ens ofereix l'astronomia, els Perseids. Conegudes tradicionalment amb el nom de les llàgrimes de Sant Llorenç, per la proximitat de la festa de Sant Llorenç, són una pluja de meteors provocada per la cua de pols còsmica que el cometa Swift-Tuttle deixa anar al seu pas.

Punta Montgó és un lloc ideal per una ocasió com aquesta. Us hi espero amb moltes ganes de compartir una bona estona!

L'Escala is a beautiful seaside town located in Costa Brava at the southern end of Roses bay.

Soon it will be twenty years that I enjoy its beaches and coves, its streets and its people, the magnificent sunrises and sunsets accompanied by the exciting sound of the seagulls.

Twenty years reduced to four considering my time in the world of Geocaching. Since I found my first cache in this county, my sense of live has changed a bit, at any time without leaving the pleasures of life, of course. I have seen the town with different eyes, knowing unexplored corners and make journeys that never would have imagined that.

One of the things I have not done here this year and I really want is a couple of gatherings organized by this August. The first consists to make a simple meeting to the beach and the second, with an added value, to see the famous meteor showers of Sant Llorenç from a vantage point.

In this case we will be at the top of Montgó, near the tower, on Friday 12, August from 22.00 to 24.00. We could talk about Geocaching and exchange traceable, all enjoying one of the best entertainment that astronomy offers to us, the Perseids. A prolific meteor shower associated with the comet Swift-Tuttle. In Catalonia we also call them les llàgrimes de Sant Llorenç.

Punta Montgó is an ideal site for do this meeting. I hope you are looking forward to sharing a good time!
