Geocache Description:

A Short sharp walk up the Takapu Ridge track to the intersection with the Dress Circle Track. Start at the new Park Entrance off Takapu Rd that will be in use for the next 5 years while the Transmission Gully road is constructed.

As always go prepared for the elements, and remember to stay on the track and leave all gates as you found them.

In this day and age of hi tech sports watches people are able to keep track of all sorts of interesting information such as their heart rate, vertical osculation, Lactate threshold, cadence, and VO2max to name a few

VO2max stands for maximal oxygen uptake and refers to the amount of oxygen your body is capable of utilizing in one minute. It is a measure of your capacity for aerobic work. Although there are many factors that affect your VO2max, it is a commonly accepted measure of cardio respiratory fitness.

The climb up to here should help you raise yours to an acceptable level.
