Kuttanen Kuttainen Guhttás
Suomen puolella jokea on Enontekiöön kuuluva asutuskeskus nimeltä Kuttanen. Kylän tunnistaa siitä, että talot ovat suhteellisen lähellä toisiaan. Suomen Kuttasen ja Ruotsin Kuttaisen välillä ei ole siltaa, mutta talvisin jäätynyt joki voidaan ylittää autolla. Kesäisin joen lähimmät ylityspaikat ovat Karesuvanto (pohjoiseen) ja Muonio (etelään). Perimätiedon mukaan alueella on ollut jo kauan kauppapaikka sekä rajamiesten tukikohta. Kodan henkilökunta on tietoinen kätköstä.
On the Finnish side of the river there is a village called Kuttanen that is a part of Enontekiö. It's easy to recognize the village by the close proximity of the houses.There is no bridge between the Finnish side of Kuttanen and the Swedish side of Kuttainen. In winter the river can be crossed by car. In summer the nearest river crossings are in Karesuvanto (to the north) and Muonio (to the south). According to lore, the area has long been a trading post and a base for the border guard. Fire places used by tradesmen still remain.
