BASSOVILLE HISTORICAL LANDMARK

The area you are standing on was the childhood home of "Basso the 1st," who was born here in 1785. It was officially registered by the town founding fathers as a "Historical Monument of Interest" in 1799. We were all invited to the grand opening--it was a wonderful affair!

If you look carefully, you can still see signs of the original house. Sometimes visitors also reporting finding old coins. A few lucky searchers even found diamonds from Mrs. Basso's expensive jewelry collection.

I consider this area sacred, so in deference to the memory of Basso I, please remove your shoes when you are onsite. Also, please be deferential to the current inhabitants.
