Striding out after picking up number two you are walking with fencing on your right this was open land in my youth, going downhill from both sides to a stream that flowed all year long making the banks either side very boggy in places, naturally as young children the dirty we used to get the more we liked it,lost a few plimsolls in the marshes.
About halfway along on the far side used to be a huge hollow oak tree where we built a wonderful castle (in our child minds it was impregnable). Those were the days when children played outdoors and used incredible imagination to entertain ourselves. This is the last of the series although if I can I may place more at a later date, here you do not have to go through the kissing gate to retrieve this hide.
Have enjoyed coming back to place these hides hope you all do too. After retrieving this one turn away from the garden centre and walk to the second turning on your left,Seabrook Ave. Walk down beside the pylon will take you back to car parking.
