Naubinway is the northernmost community on the Lake Michigan shoreline. The Indian name Naubinway means "Place of Echoes." Naubinway is the largest fishing port on the Great Lakes and commercial fishing is a large part of the economy of Naubinway. One of the main attractions in town is the fleet of fishing vessels that leave the dock every morning to venture out on Lake Michigan in search of the next big catch. The dock can be found just a few blocks south of this cache. A unique treat for visitors to Naubinway is the chance to purchase fish caught locally, fresh off the dock or from the fish markets down the street. The area around Naubinway has been blessed with abundant natural beauty. You can find plenty of uncrowded beaches along Lake Michigan and miles of woodland roads through pristine forests.
The cache is located on a beautiful property along the Lake Michigan shoreline. It is a small container with room for travel bugs and items to trade. The cache may not be available during winter if snow is more than a foot deep.
