For the first couple of miles, the trail crosses several streams as you hike along next to Miller Creek. Then the trail begins to climb in earnest as it winds up the steep hillside to the top of Miller Peak. Water is scarce once you begin to climb.
The trail is open to hikers and motorcyclists, however, expect to see few of either on this hike. Most people will be parked down the road for the much more popular Navaho Peak Trail.
A Northwest Forest Pass is required to park at the trailhead.
