[ITA] La fermata perduta di Duino-Timavo sorge lungo i binari della linea Trieste-Monfalcone, un tempo parte della direttrice Veneto-Illirica, lo stradone di ferro che congiungeva l’Impero austro-ungarico col Regno d’Italia. Il piccolo parallelepipedo è costruito per metà in pietra bianca di Aurisina e per metà in mattoni. Di sicuro la fermata venne istituita in epoca austriaca, poiché compare sugli orari del 1914, e fino al primo dopoguerra si chiamava Duino-Sistiana; la soppressione da parte delle Ferrovie italiane dovrebbe essere avvenuta verso la fine degli anni Sessanta.
[ENG] Duino ghost railway station is placed along the tracks of the Trieste-Monfalcone line, once part of the Veneto-Illyrian director connecting the Austro-Hungarian Empire with the Kingdom of Italy. The small building is constructed for half in Aurisina white stone and half with bricks. The train stop was certainly established in the Austrian period, since it appears on the 1914 timetables, and in the '20 it was called Duino-Sistiana; the suppression by the Italian railways as an active station took place probably in the late '60.
