Similar to a Flash Mob -- folks congregate at an area close to specific coordinates (blending in with muggles) and at an appointed time everyone rushes to GZ. As sudden as it begins, everyone blends back in with the crowd. For this Splash Mob a whistle will sound for the start as well as the ending (we won't have music to que us to start or stop). So... here's the WWWWHW (who, what, when, where, how, why):
Who: you, family, friends (muggle friends & family are encouraged)
What (to bring): already PREPARED water balloons (hidden in cooler, tote, etc), squirt guns that look like squirt guns, or ??? Be creative! Towel to dry off, while clothing TYPE is optional - wear something you don't mind getting wet. There are bathrooms nearby to change.
When: come mingle among the muggles around 2pm - whistle will sound somewhere in the 2:10-2:15 range
Where: at the above coordinates - Gordon Park, Crofton, KY near the spray park
How: ...how many opportunities to you have to soak your friends and family members...see why I suggest you bring family????
Why: You have to ask?
Parking is pretty plentiful. However if the parking lot is full there is grass parking beyond (north) of the building as well as south by the new storm shelter. Sidewalk and spray park surfaces are great for those restricted to wheelchairs so this is rated 1 star terrain.
After the second whistle blow there will be a log to sign and an opportunity to fellowship until 3pm.
It's a hot summer -- come out and play!
If the day turns out to being a little soggy on its own, I plan to go ahead - rain or shine. There are a few pavilions to stay dry -- visit, swap TB/coins, etc. Will have light refreshments too.
