Peak Hill Station gains its name from a prominent high point above Lake Coleridge. A happy outcome of tenure review is that there is now public tramping access to this commanding viewpoint, and a couple of other geocaches. This cache however is a simple park and grab. Please leave the cache well secured from the elements
Approximately 1/3rd of the original Peak Hill Station was retired from grazing in the tenure review process in 2003. The remainder of the property- mainly lower country- was freeholded. Prior to this Peak Hill was a Crown Pastoral Lease for over 130 years.
Of note is an earthquake faultline that runs northwest/southeast through the property above Lake Coleridge
