This $30 million Australian Equine centre was opened in 2008 to cater for the huge number of horses and equine events that take place in the Tamworth area. Almost 40% of all horses in Australia are stabled within a 130km radius of Tamworth.
AELEC seats 3,600 spectators and is used for other events that will attract big audiences.

The centre has one of the finest arenas in Australia which is open to the public on most days during office hours. If you would like to look inside you will need to go to the front entrance for entry.
