Petrie Koala Habitat CITO 🐨
We had a great turnout and a wonderful result from our Griffin Garbage Grab CITO in April, so we thought we'd organise another CITO! This event coincides with the 14th Annual Cache In Trash Out Week (the second of two for 2016), which is scheduled for September 17-25, and each attendee will receive a CITO souvenir for taking part.
When: Saturday 24th September 2016, 1pm - 4pm.
Where: Dave Burton Park. Approach via easement from Warringah Grove.
Instead of rubbish removal, this time we have teamed up with the great folks of the Petrie Bushcare Group , who in conjunction with the Moreton Bay Regional Council, have kindly agreed to host a koala habitat tree-planting event just for us as part of Koala Awareness Month this September.
Bring your usual gear for this type of activity: sturdy shoes, long sleeve shirt and pants, hat, insect repellant, sunscreen, water, and gloves. The MBRC will be providing a safety induction and will supply tools and seedlings to plant, while the Petrie Bushcare Group will be preparing the site in anticipation of our planting activities.
Everyone is welcome, if this is your first CITO event, read this FAQ.
Please post your "will attend" so we can adequately cater for the number of participants attending. We look forward to your company!
