Geocache Description:

This cache is rated a D5 for a reason. For safety reasons, we reccomend you bring a buddy to this one, and if, for any reason, you are not comfortable, do not attempt.

I did a bit of research, and found that this bridge was named after some early settlers to the area.

"A large family (negro) named Minks lived up the river at Mink's Bridge. They were slaves owned by Capt. Herkimer, one of the first settlers in Firsttown, a few miles west of Kingston, also known as Herkimer's Point. George Minks had a stage line between Toronto and Kingston. James Minks had a Tavern at Kingston. Tobias Minks lived in Napanee."
