Geocache Description:

A quick cache located along a scenic beach boardwalk.

No space for trade

This cache is located along a boardwalk made from recycled plastic "wood".

This material is great for coastal environments as it is immune to rot and stands up fairly well to UV.

It has one drawback, however, and that is that it is weak compared to normal timber. This is painfully obvious in places when one walks along this boardwalk. It is elevated in an attempt to prevent shifting sands from covering it, and warps/twists quite badly in some areas. In some places, the supporting posts don't even reach the ground anymore as the sand has shifted beneath them. But been flexible, it takes most of this in its stride and bends how it needs to accommodate the shifting supports.

You will find the cache beneath the boardwalk.

There are staircases leading to the beach from the boardwalk. From the beach, you can walk up to the boardwalk and search below.
