The south entrance to Conroe on Hwy 75 (Frazier St) bears the name of the Moore Family. The Moore Bros. Lumber Company, founded by brothers Howard, Tyrone and former Mayor Carter Moore in the 1950s and a longtime staple in Conroe, was located at the west side of the nearby Frazier/Gladstell intersection for 42 years.
