Westlich der Massará-Ebene befindet sich das kleine schöne Dorf Sivas.
Ein hübscher Ort mit ca. 600 Einwohnern, der sehr viel Ruhe ausstrahlt.
Im Kern gibt es einen Dorfplatz mit Tavernen und Kafenions.
Wenn man Glück hat kann man an dem ebenfalls dort ansässigen Keramikladen zuschauen wie der Besitzer seine Tongefäße selber herstellt.
Es gibt auch kleine Supermärkte, bei denen man Getränke und Grundnahrungsmittel, sowie frisches Obst und Gemüse erwerben kann.
Die Einwohner von Sivas sind sehr gastfreundlich.
Besonders gerne sitzen wir bei Jorgos und Anna im kleinen feinen Cafe Europa.
Der Name vom Cafe ist Programm - der Besitzer und seine Frau sprechen hervorragend deutsch, englisch und griechisch.
Mit Anna kann man sich auch noch in französisch unterhalten.
Man trifft auch häufig nette Leute, mit denen man hier ins Gespräch kommen kann, wenn man möchte.
So erfährt man Neuigkeiten aus der Region und erhält Informationen zu tollen Ausflugszielen auf Kreta.
Anna legt viel Wert auf frische Produkte und so gibt es unter anderem frisch gemachten Joghurtdrink, selbstgemachte Limonade, Smoothies, frische Joghurttörtchen und lecker gebackenen Kuchen.
Auch der Kaffee, Cappuccino oder Frappe schmeckt uns hier außergewöhnlich gut.
Jorgos stellt sehr liebevoll Schmuck aus Olivenholz und Silber her.
Wenn man möchte, bekommt man bei ihm auch BIO Olivenöl.

To the west of the Massará plain is the small beautiful village of Sivas.
A pretty place with about 600 inhabitants, which radiates a lot of tranquility.

The name of the café says it all - the owner and his wife speak excellent german, English and Greek.

Anna attaches great importance to fresh products and so there are, among other things, freshly made yoghurt drink, homemade lemonade, smoothies, fresh yoghurt tarts and delicious baked cakes.
The coffee, cappuccino or frappe also tastes exceptionally good here.
Jorgos lovingly makes jewelry from olive wood and silver.
