THIS CACHE REPLACES THE ORIGINAL CACHE PLACED ON THE 31ST August 2009 AND ARCHIVED IN NOVEMBER 2015
This is one of a series of three linked caches which involve a walk or boat trip on the flight of locks on the South Oxford canal near Napton. The caches are named because the walk takes in the locks from Lock No. 8 near the Folly pub to Adkins’ Lock No. 14.
Adkins' Folly 3 is a bonus cache for those who find Adkins' Folly 1 and 2. It can only be done after Adkins' Folly 1 and 2 have been completed.
The co-ordinates given are NOT for the cache but for the location of the cream tea which you will deserve after completing the Adkins' Folly series. There is no public access to Adkins' Lock other than by joining the towing path at bottom lock or from the bridge over the canal on Holt Road.
Cards showing the two equations for the co-ordinates of Adkins' Folly 3 have been placed in Adkins' Folly 1 and 2. You will need the answers to the same questions as those used to find the other caches.
Finding this cache involves walking the towpath beside the locks.
