4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

This big green 'tonka toy' was one of a fleet of 17 that were known as the 'Jolly Green Giants'. They were put into service in 1976 at a cost of $675,000 each and used to haul iron ore in the operation at Paraburdoo in Western Australia. From 1976 to when they were taken out of service in 1987, the fleet hauled an impressive 285,000,000 tonnes of the red dirt. Each of these Terex Haul Trucks could carry a hefty 154 tonnes fully loaded and rattled along at a maximum speed of 40 km/h.
