Det finns flera historier om öövernaturliga saker på platsen, och en av dess är om när Lars i Höghult lämnade Kärnebygd Kvarn framåt midnatt med sina hästar efter en lång dags arbete med att mala mjöl. När han nådde fram till stenen reagerade hästarna och totalvägrade att passera stenen, hur än Lars försökte få dem att passera. Han fick vända tillbaka till kvarnen igen.

When he reached the stone the horses stoppedand total refused to pass the stone, it didn't matter what Lars tried to get them to pass. He had to turn back to the mill again.
