This is an extension to my Stroll along the prom series and takes you to where some of the original Bognor fishermen kept their boats. Until the late eighteenth century when Bognor became a seaside resort for wealthy people, many of the locals made their living from fishing and smuggling. Until quite recently you could buy freshly caught fish from a stall here, and until the 1970s there were at least three wet fish shops in the town. There are still a few boats that fish from Bognor.
The cache is not inside the boat pound enclosure, so please do not try to enter the boat pound.
