The Cape Elizabeth Land Trust has a done great job preserving the natural environment and educating the local youth about these amazing woods! The Robinson Woods trail network provides a great view of the ocean from the parking area and trailhead, and the trails themselves offer a great retreat back to nature.
You will need to take a 15-20 minute hike along the Outer Loop trail, and bring some bug spray, as the bugs can be bad at times (hey, you're in the Maine Woods). There is a shorter hike (5-10 minutes) if you park at the trailhead further north up Shore Rd., by taking a left on Dyer Pond Rd., and following it until it dead ends. The trails from here can be a bit of a maze if you aren't familiar with them, but can be navigated if you're adventurous.
The trails are open from dawn to dusk.
The cache is off the trail, to protect from potential muggle detection, but the woods open up in this area and are not difficult to traverse. There is a logbook and pencil, so please record your find, and we have added some unique items of swag. Feel free to take some swag, but be sure to leave something in return
Happy Hunting!
