This is where firefighters used to play a game called waterball. Between two large poles, suspended on a wire, was a steel ball. The object was for two teams of firefighters, each standing behind one pole, to force the steel ball towards the other pole using water streams. The team to push the ball to the opposite pole are the victors! And usually get to soak the other team. This game was used to hone skills in teamwork, nozzle control, pump operation, and fire stream usage.
