Over 400 English Oak trees were planted along King Georges Avenue over 100 years ago. They did not thrive as they did in England but they still make an impressive display in Spring. A lot of them have either died or are in the process of doing so. Many now have been marked for removal but there is a strong support to retain as many as possible.
A couple have been recently cut down and have been replaced by young saplings. This is one of them.
