The cache is a small plastic lock lid box in the small group of trees to the east of the building, no need to go into the lodge which is unsafe to enter. The cache is full of usual swaps but not a lot of room so small stuff only. Log book and pencil in the box.
There are plenty of ways up to the cache, choose your route. Maybe carry on up after visiting the various Battle of Corrichie caches lower down to the south east or walk straight up the hill from the south or over the hill from Sun Honey in the north. In any event the end location is an old derelict shooting lodge, two stories high, that is slowly falling apart which is a real pity. It must have been quite a sight in its hey day with flags flying, horses carts and carriages parked up and lots of guns, beaters and dogs milling about. If anybody has any old photos it would be great to see them. These days it is a bit sad really, the stairs inside and the upper floor are very unsafe and there is a big crack in the north wall and lots of tiles are off the roof but it is still a very atmospheric place for me, in sun, mist, rain or wind (or all of them in half an hour!)
