Geocache Description:

Geocachers and friends are invited to a S.A.G.A. (Saskatoon and Area Geocachers Association)  sponsored  CITO in the little known Sed -1 park on Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 10 am-12 pm .  CITO (Cache in and Trash out) has been a geocacher’s focus for the last 13 years.   Join SAGA for the  second  part of the 14th international event here in Saskatoon on September 17.

Sed-1 is in the industrial area and is not regularly visited or cleaned up.  It clearly needed garbage pick up when we visited in early August.  While the park is small, if we finish early we can also move to the nearby bike trails in the industrial area.  We will meet in the  centre of the park and work to clean up the park area.  Please dress for the weather and bring gloves and/or pick up tools/ a pokey stick.   Parking is available on street and in the nearby lot of an unused building.

Geocaching.com invites us to a cleanup on this week and awards a 2016 CITO clean up souvenir.  Since we did MVA clean up in the spring, we will have MVA bags available.

Please sign up so that there will be enough bags and refreshments for everyone!  We will hold the event regardless of the weather.  If you need further information contact us through our webpage.  CITO on! As of Sept 12 construction and a change in ownership has occurred. We will still meet at the same coordinates and CITO the nearby bike trails. City parks will pick up our bags and thanks us in advance.

There are a number of nearby caches in the area including a 4.5/3.5 – GC56AZV.  Perhaps after CITO many will chase down a few of these!
