Geocache Description:

Tom Jenkins Dam was built in 1950-51 on the East Branch of Sunday Creek. Its purpose was to provide flood control and a reliable water supply for the villages downstream. The reservoir created by the dam was called Burr Oak after a small settlement that used to stand where the dam is today. While Burr Oak Lake no longer is used for water, it is still a grreat place for boating and fishing, and the state park has camping, hiking and hunting.

There are several Geocaches on and around Tom Jenkins Dam, but they are older and mostly micro size. This one is a medium size box with several trade items. That is why I'm calling it the Best Dam Geocache!
