The third Saturday in August every year is International Geocaching Day. In Wellington Boxhill has traditionally hosted an event in Khandallah to mark the occasion whilst providing an opportunity for the local community to catch up with each other.
In 2016 it was arranged with the Reviewer to have five traditional caches in the local area published to coincide with the end of the official timeframe of the event to provide attendees that had not yet recorded a FTF with that opportunity.
