This lovely series of caches, takes you along part of the river Loddon. Did you know this river has a total length of 28 miles (45km) and, together with its tributaries, drains an area of 400 square miles (1,036 km2). Loddonbridge Mill still uses the water to power their wheel, to grind flour for exhibition purposes only.
This is a series of 16 caches, which covers about 4 miles and has 2 stiles, four bridges and lots of new gates. Not forgetting crossing the busy A33, so be careful. Also on route, you can grab 'Go wild on the Moors' (GCE872), it is such a beautiful walk along here at any time of the year.
To get from #4 to #5, continue up the path which can get very over grown in the summer, so long sleeves and trousers are recommended. The ground can be muddy especially round one bridge, so wellies or strong shoes are advised.
Dog owners
You will be walking through a Golf course so ‘Please keep your dog on a lead’ at this stage, thank you.
The caches are a mixture of shapes and sizes to keep you on your toes. Bring a pen/pencil with you, as some don’t have room.
For swaps, please swap fairly, thank you.
