Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the Haunted Hollow 8 event and is located just off one of the many trails located in Sleepy Hollow State Park.

Most of the trails are well groomed and hard packed making a bike a great way to get to the caches in the area.  A Michigan Passport is required for entry to the park and may be purchased there.  Keep in mind during the hunting season to be aware of hunters in the area.  Hunting is allowed from September 15th until April 1st each year

National House Inn

This historic inn, built in 1835 by Colonel Andrew Mann and believed to have been a stop on the Underground Railroad, is said to be haunted by a Lady in Red. The ghost is usually seen only by a glimpse as she moves through the hallways, but has also been seen standing at one of the windows late in the night. There is one guest room that folks say she insists on keeping the door closed; this is the room that witnesses feel belonged to her while she was alive.
