Geocache Description:

A beautiful Brampton park needs your help to clean it up! Join us between 10 and noon to help pick up litter. Bags and gloves will be available.

Homestead Pond is a beautiful little water feature in Brampton that is home to several species of birds during the summer, and a stopover for thousands of birds during their migratory periods. PKarin and I (who live across the street from this pond) have seen ducks, geese, pigeons, swans, cranes and several other species use this area to eat, rest, and let their young ones grow. The adjacent Homestead Park has soccer fields, a gazebo and a playground for community use.

Meet at the posted coordinates to pick up garbage bags and gloves. You can show up any time between 10AM and 12PM, and stay as long as you like! This event will happen rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. Bottles of water will be available to keep everyone hydrated.
