Geocache Description:

I can't REALLY see my house from here...but this spot DOES offer an impressive view. You are looking for a nano cache container.

I live in town and this area is prime Beltline real estate...so when plans for a large suburban-style development leaked out, the uproar was not at all surprising. At first, the rumor was that Wally would bring his large World to our little corner of Grant Park...but after some time it was announced that, instead, a "Publix Enemy" would move in, so residents were at least semi-placated. Not happy, but there wasn't much to be done about it. Fast forward a year or two and now we have this mixed blessing of a development. Polls have been taken and suggestions thrown around on what nickname this particular place would have. "Krobar" seems to be a popular option, which you will understand if you choose to explore inside a bit...

This particular spot seems a bit strange, but it makes sense when you realize the area up top is expected to be redeveloped within the next couple of years. You might also notice a bit of an oddity in this development...a short section of what was intended to be the Beltline trail running through the site. Who can say if it will ever become an "official" part of the Beltline Trail...but for now it remains an unused stretch of concrete and landscaping bordering the parking lot.
