The Rifleway is a pedestrian short cut from the Pacific Highway near Roseville Station, through Larkin Street to Shirley Road.
In 1914, the Federal Government constructed a rifle range in the area of Blue Gum Creek. Access to this was via The Rifleway and Shirley Road. The range was moved to Hornsby in 1955. Thanks to Ku-ring-gai Historical Society for this information.
