Glen Helen is open to the public 365 days a year. They offer Nature programs, guided hikes, and other interpretative experiences for families and individuals throughout the year.
Trails are open from dawn to dusk. Visitors are welcome to explore the 20+ miles of trails from sunrise to sunset, 365 days a year. When hiking in the evening, please allow an appropriate amount of time to exit the forest before sundown. Hikers found within the Glen after sunset, are subject to a trespasser violation.
The Glen Helen Trailside Museum serves as a welcome center. Visitors have an opportunity to visit with the ambassador animals. Open weekends, 10am-5pm; additional summer hours may be available with volunteer support.
Glen Helen is a private, nonprofit nature preserve, protected by a conservation easement. The easement provides a way to protect the Glen for future generations by providing legal and permanent protections that restrict the type and amount of development that may take place on the property. These restrictions include strict protections for the flora and fauna within the Glen. Removal or destruction of any feature, plant, and or animal is strictly prohibited and may result in the loss of our easement protection, therefore any visitor found to disregard trail guidelines may be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The Trailside Museum is the weekend welcome center for Glen Helen Nature Preserve. Visitors to are encouraged to stop by before exploring the trails. The museum features hands-on displays and exhibits that are designed to offer visitors an up-close experience with nature.
As the starting place for many public family and adult programs, the Trailside Museum offers fun and educational guided programs for all age groups.
The Raptor Center began in 1970 as part of Antioch College's Glen Helen Outdoor Education Center. The Raptor Center includes a classroom area for bird study lessons, an intensive care room, outdoor cages for display of permanently handicapped birds, and flight cages for recuperating birds. The Raptor Center hosts regular programs to encourage a greater understanding, appreciation, and concern for raptors and other wildlife. Presentations are available that cover the special adaptations of birds of prey, general wildlife needs, how humans affect wildlife, and what we can all do to help.
