A short cut from Kilmore to Darraweit Guim. The dirt road follows a small tributary passing swamp wallabies, kangaroos, sheep & cattle.
A bridge was built across the tributaries to Boyd Creek. The lovely old wooden structure was burnt out during the Mickleham-Kilmore bush fires which started on 9th February 2014, and went on for another month. So hence it was replaced with a more resilient (and perhaps more lovely???) concrete structure. Now it doesn’t have the views of the creek through the gaps in the wooden sleepers any more. So you don’t get stuck riding a bike across.
