Geocache Description:

30ml camo tube

This is part of a pleasant Walk along a public footpath near Thorpe Hall away from the hustle and bustle of the City Centre. Ideal for some fresh air at lunchtime and based upon the ones that RonnJohn used to have near to Thorpe Hall

Thorpe Hall at Longthorpe in the city of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire is a Grade I listed building, built by Peter Mills between 1653 and 1656, for the Lord Chief Justice, Oliver St John. The house is unusual in being one of the very few mansions built during the Commonwealth period. After a period as a hospital, it is currently used as a hospice.

Back when I was introduced to caching by work mates HL4C and TT925 (not their real caching names) I worked (unbeknownst at first) in the same building as RonnJohn, half a small hairy mammal related cacher and one half of a sandy couple and the closest caches to work were ronnJohn's.

Unfortunately we've all been made redundant from that place now, except my previous work colleagues, and we archived all our caches in the area.

But now I'm back working in the area and after finding the nearby box cache I decided to replace these caches!

Again, this cache is not exactly where the original was, but this time it's a proximity issue with my teaser cache just up the road so it's as close as I could get it.

This cache was attempted on several previous occasions by my work colleagues before they introduced me to the passtime. They told me they'd failed a few times and they'd even gone into a nearby shop asking where 'the treasure' was buried - needless to say they got odd looks. When we came and looked for this and found it easily it was only my first ever find!
