Geocache Description:

A small geocache in a quiet place that's been around for well over a century. Named for an early explorer of the region believed to be buried nearby at the site of GCJZDW-Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust.

Please be respectful of the surrounding area and remember dawn to dusk only. Cache container has a pencil to sign and several trinkets for your amusement. Pretty sure this one will be winter friendly but you may not be able to drive to it if there is snow. Elsewhere in this cemetery you can find mausoleums and graves of some of the prominent Ludington families as well as sites from the Lumber Heritage Trail giving some history of these families. Look for the white posts with a QR code and a phone number on it. Please keep in mind that most Michigan cemeteries are closed from dusk until dawn by law.
