In February of 2015, Highway 6 needed to be shut down/retouted to this FSR due to a mudslide below the highway, appearing as though a sinkhole had swallowed up this section. The highway was closed for a month, and what you see here now is the newly created slope & rerouting of the FSR around where the slide took place.
This cache is part of a small series set off the beaten path, on the road less travelled..... From Arrow Lake on one end to Whatshan Lake on the other. There are some beautiful views, nice swimming holes, and lots of wildlife to be seen along the way. Enjoy & have fun!
Although is is usually a very quiet Forrest Service Road, remember it is still an active logging road!! So please use caution when driving and use the pullouts provided near cache locations!
