Der Cache kann im Rahmen einer Wanderung oder auch als beinahe Drive-In gehoben werden. Parkplätze in der Nähe sind begrenzt (je nach Wochentag und Tageszeit) vorhanden, von dort ist es nicht weit über einen Waldweg.
Die Terrainwertung wurde mit 2,5 angesetzt, da dies ein relativ guter Richtwert ist für all jene, die das Doserl erwandern. Für alle mit Cachemobil reduziert sich das Terrain wohl auf 1,5. ;)
Das Häuserl beim Häuserl
Unser erster selbst ausgelegter Geocache sollte an einem besonderen Ort sein. Hier ist (zumindest für uns) dieser Ort: eine schöne Wanderung über den Stadtwanderweg 2 oder eine kurze Autofahrt über die Höhenstraße und schon ist man in einer anderen Welt - weit weg von der Großstadt mit Verkehr, Lärm und Stress. Mitten im Wienerwald kann man ordentlich durchatmen und entspannen. Wir kommen oft hierher, um den Alltag hinter uns zu lassen. Hat man den Cache gefunden, sind es nur noch ein paar Meter bis zum Gasthaus “Das Häuserl am Stoan”, wo man eine Rast einlegen und einen wundervollen Blick über Wien genießen kann.
Das Häuserl am Stoan
Als Imbissstand 1923 gegründet, wurde das “Häuserl am Stoan” 3 Jahre später zu einem Restaurant, das bis heute seine Gäste mit ausgezeichneter deftiger Wiener Küche stärkt (geöffnet ist Donnerstag bis Sonntag!). Im Gastgarten und vom angrenzenden Parkplatz aus hat man einen wunderbaren Blick über große Teile Wiens und kann von dort viele bekannte Sehenswürdigkeiten - wie etwa Donauturm oder Stephansdom - erkennen. Viele unserer Gäste bringen wir hier her und sie sind begeistert. Die Kombination von Aussicht, Gemütlichkeit, gutem Essen und Wiener Schmäh ist einzigartig. Daher möchten wir dem “Häuserl” ein “Häuserl” widmen.
Die Dose
Die Dose im Versteck ist “small” und enthält neben dem Logbuch und einem Stift natürlich auch ein paar Tauschgegenstände. Bitte wieder gut verschließen, damit der Cacheinhalt auch gut geschützt ist..

You can reach the cache during a walking-tour or go there by car. There are limited parking spaces (depending on the day and the time) close to the cache location. You just have to walk a few metres from the parking area into the woods.
The terrain is rated with 2,5 which should be a good approximate value for all walkers who come from downhill. For all persons who visit the cache with the car the terrain rating is reduced to 1,5.
Das Häuserl beim Häuserl / The cottage at the cottage
Our first geocache should be at a very special place. (For us) this place is here: a lovely hiking-tour (Vienna hiking trail 2) or a short drive with the car (Höhenstraße) and you’re in a completely different world – far away from the big city with traffic, noise and stress. In the heart of the Vienna Woods you can take a deep breath and relax. We come here quite regularly to leave the daily routine behind. Once you’ve found the cache, it’s just a few metres to the tavern “Das Häuserl am Stoan” (the translation would be “The cottage at the stone”), where you can have a rest and enjoy the wonderful view over Vienna.

Built as a small food stall in 1923, the owner decided to enlarge it 3 years later to a tavern and till today guests can enjoy excellent solid Viennese food (open Thursday to Sunday!). From the terrace and the close parking area you have a wonderful view over Vienna and if you’re lucky, you can see some of our sights like the Donauturm (Danube tower) and the Stephansdom (St. Stephens cathedral). Every time we have friends staying with us, we take them to this place and they are excited. It’s a unique combination of view, cosiness, good food and Viennese charm. This is the reason why we want to dedicate a "cottage" to the "cottage".
The box
The size of the box is “small” and contains beside the logbook and a pen some trading items. Please close it well afterwards, so the contents are safe.
