"Michael said there's a dead bird in the secret field"
Haslam Park is a great example of a Victorian Park in the Ashton-on-Ribble area of Preston. It was a place that I spent many a summer evening with my friends as a child. Back then, there was a BMX track toward the back of the park and we spent many an hour and suffered many an injury!
This is the bonus cache in the series - to collect this one - it is not located at these co-ordinates, follow the instructions below.
Step One
Collect each of the traditional Haslam Hopper caches (1 - 4), noting down the letter you find on each log (make sure you know which letter was found on which cache).
Step Two
Ensure that you have a device that will allow you to navigate to some manually input co-ordinates
Step Three
Assemble the the co-ordinates using these easy(ish) steps
![]()

Start with N 53° 46.$ W 002° 44.% and using your letters and the key above:
$ = the numbers that correspond to the letters you found at Hopper 3 & Hopper 2
For example, if you found T & G your first half would read N 53° 46.199
% = the numbers that correspond to the letters you found at Hopper 1 & Hopper 4
Step Four
When you have the complete co-ordinates, you should be able to head to the mystery cache and find the container.
Feel free to send me a message if you have any problems.
When in the area doing the Hoppers, make sure you hit the Haslam Park Multi and my other local cache - Step on my old size nines.
