Wanhua branch is located in Wanhua district, formerly known as Monga, which is one of the earliest developed area in Taipei. Monga has playing an important role of Taipei’s cultural heritage. So the collection highlights of Wanhua branch is about “Historical relics of Taipei”, which include: prehistoric relics, local history, cultural relics, natural landscapes, architecture, urban planning, etc.
萬華分館位於萬華區，昔稱艋舺，是臺北市開發最早的地區之一。艋舺對於臺北文化的傳承一直扮演著功不可沒的角色，故特以臺北史蹟為館藏特色。內容包括:史前遺跡、區域地名沿革、方志、風俗、文物、 自然景觀、建築、都市計劃...等。
Traveling is more eye-opening than reading. Since Wanhua branch's collection highlights is about historical relics of Taipei, it's time to visit some relics in Wanhua (a.k.a. Monga). The total distance of this trip is about 3km, so please make sure you wear the right shoes. You could also ride the bike to finish this trip, but the traffic is very busy there, please be careful.
讀萬卷書不如行萬里路，既然萬華分館的館藏特色是臺北史蹟，那我們就來看看一些位在萬華（或稱艋舺）的古蹟吧！這趟小旅行的總長度大約在三公里左右，請確認你穿了合適的鞋子。你也可以選擇騎腳踏車來完成這趟旅行，但當地交通十分繁忙，請注意安全。
Taiwan Highway Museum (Stage 2) is the first highway museum in Taiwan. There collect lots of information since the Directorate General of Highways was founded. You could visit here if you want to know more about Taiwan highway's history. (Opening hour: Monday to Friday, 09:00-16:00 ) There also have an air-raid shelter beside the museum, take a look if you can find it. :)
幸福公路館為台灣第一座公路博物館。裡面收藏了自交通部公路總局設立以來的所有相關資料。如果你想要知道更多關於台灣公路的相關歷史，歡迎來此參觀。（開放時間：週一至週五，早上九點至下午四點）。博物館旁還保留了以前的防空洞，試試看你是否能找到。

Wanhua Lin House (Stage 3) was once the tallest building in Monga. It has 4 floors. After the building was renovated, the first and second floor are now Starbucks. Lin House is not a symmetrical building due to the urban planning at that time, and this is the reason that Lin House could survive until now due to its unique design. The entire building combines Chinese and Western architectural styles. The design of the white pebble stairs is very beautiful. All the details of balcony, railing, doors and windows are so gorgeous. It's worth to visit here!
萬華林宅曾是艋舺最高的建築，是一棟四層樓建築，經整修後，目前一二樓出租給星巴克使用。林宅是依據當初的都市規劃而建，所以並不是對稱的建築，但也因此得以保存至今。整棟建築融合了中西式的建築風格，樓梯的磨石子設計十分精美，陽台欄杆以及門窗之細部設計都頗為講究，非常值得到此一看。

Taipei Suger Factory is the predecessor of Sugar Refinery Cultural Park (Stage 4), which was established in 1911. It is the only sugar factory in northen Taiwan. Taipei Sugar Factory ceased operation after the sugar season in 1944 due to World War II. At the time, the sugar factory's operation covers agricultural, public services and business affairs. Infrastructure wise, the factory site has sugar cane fields, sugar refinaries, domain houses and even its own power plant and railroad system. It's scale was large enough to affect the economic activities in the Taipei area and has important affects to the nearby residents. Taipei Sugar Factory was later used by Taiwan Sugar Corporation (Taisugar) as warehouses. These three warehouses that are still well preserved today are now a popular historical site in Taipei.
糖廍文化園區的前身為台北製糖所，於1911年設立，是北部唯一的一所製糖所，1944年因戰爭因素，在製糖季結束後台北製糖所關閉。當時糖廠的規模同時具備了農務、公務及商務的功能，因此廠區內包括了因職務而有所區之分的宿舍、蔗田、糖廠本身的發電廠、製糖廠以及自己的鐵道系統等，規模很大，亦影響當時大台北地區經濟活動，成為居民重要維生來源。台北製糖所後來由台糖公司接管轉為倉儲使用，目前僅存的3棟倉庫為台北市定古蹟。

Huajiang community housing (Stage 5) was built in the 1970s. It has uniquely designs of raised ceiling on the ground floor and connected public veranda on the second floor. In addition, it also has the community's water storage, parks, sewage treatment plant, police stations, kindergartens, gas stations normally found on other community housings. There are bridges connecting the second floor of different buildings to form a ring-shaped walkway which provides unique scenes. Go up the second floor, and take a walk around the buildings, you will enjoy the unique architectural design of these buildings and the scenic view from a different perspective.
1970年代興建的華江整宅，是有著特殊設計的建築群落，一樓採挑高設計，二樓則保留了特殊的騎樓樣貌，除此之外，這裡有社區共用水塔、公園、污水處理場、衛生下水道、派出所、幼稚園、加油站等公設。此處另有天橋連接建築，形成了另類的環狀步道。來到這裡，不妨走上二樓並試著走一圈看看，你會喜歡這裡與眾不同的風景和獨特的建築設計的！
