Hi there I don't think you know me but you may know my uncle The Sergeant Major. He's the big guy looking out over the Fraser River near the River Market, he's hard to miss. My uncle tells me that that he's been visited by folks calling themselves "geocachers" for nearly 10 years and he often hears them exclaim "Ah Ha" so he thinks they must find what they are looking for.
Since you all sound so great at finding things, I hope you can help me out. I was visiting my uncle last week and when I got home I realized I had left my hat behind. Would you be able to help find my hat?
My hat looks just like my uncle's but I have to tell you it is a lot smaller so it won't be the easiest to spot. I think I lost it while I was playing around my uncle's ankles and he's been complaining of an itch on his right leg ever since.
Please be stealthy while looking for my hat, I don't want everyone to know that I lost my hat here. I'm worried they'll claim "finders keepers" and keep it for themselves. My uncle also tells me that the area has recently been invaded by "Poking Men" but he says he's never seen them doing any poking they just stare at their phones all day.
If you do find my hat, would you mind writing your name down on it and leaving a note here. Please don't take my hat with you and put it back exactly where you found it. When I'm next in town I'll send you a note and you can tell me where my hat is.
