Stealth will be required during the fishing and white bait season. 20 or more campers and caravans can be parked up along this road, especially when the white bait are running.
The whitebait season is open between 15 August and 30 November (inclusive) in all areas of New Zealand except the West Coast of the South Island and the Chatham Islands.
You do not have to climb onto the stump.
