Geocache Description:

「Isetan」ver.2 It is a re-start in the same place♪

Opened on 28 September 1933.
The acquisition in 1935 (1935) the building of the old HOTEI-ya, it was integrated with the main building by connecting the following year each floor.
Men's Building exterior of the main building and the main building in the Art Deco style, has been selected as a historic building in Tokyo, one floor of the main building, registration marks of selected historic buildings in Tokyo is Sanchome intersection it is installed on the outer wall.
In 2011 (2011) April 1, performs a merger of the surviving company and Mitsukoshi between the Mitsukoshi, because it was launched the "Corporation Isetan Mitsukoshi", Isetan Co., Ltd. as a corporation is dissolveding. It becomes the pedestrian street Shinjuku on Sunday.
Near the intersection, there is a police box. Please look for care.

1933年（昭和8年）9月28日に開店。
旧ほてい屋の建物を1935年（昭和10年）に買収し、その翌年各階を接続して本館と一体化しました。本館とメンズ館本館の外装はアール・デコ様式で、東京都の歴史的建造物に選定されており、東京都の選定歴史的建造物の登録標章が本館一階、新宿三丁目交差点付近の外壁に設置されています。
2011年（平成23年）に、株式会社三越との間で存続会社を三越とする吸収合併を行ない「株式会社三越伊勢丹」が発足したため、法人としての株式会社伊勢丹は解散しています。日曜日には新宿通りは歩行者天国になります。近くの交差点に交番があるので気をつけてくださいね

漫画『3月のライオン』羽海野チカ著 Chapter20にて千駄ヶ谷駅ホームに大きな看板が描かれています。
なんと、その看板に【 ESETAN 】の文字が。
